EAZA is its Members. Organised in Annual General Meeting, Council, Executive Committee and nine other Committees, and supported by the EAZA Executive Office, the Members of the Association determine the building blocks needed for constant progression in animal care and welfare, conservation, conservation education, research and other domains.
The EAZA structure consists of its Members and their input into an Annual General Meeting, EAZA Council, the Executive Committee and several committees falling into the categories of Standing Committees and Specialist Committees. These committees are run by representatives from the EAZA Membership, on an unpaid basis.
The chart on the right outlines where each of these bodies is located in the overall structure of the organisation and what they do.
