Results of the Photo Contest 2024

Congrats to the winners!

Big thanks to the many talented photographers who submitted a total of 168 gorgeous pictures for the EAZA Photo Contest, launched in August! A real testament to your love of nature, animals and of zoos and aquariums.

We are not going to lie, it was extremely difficult to vote. There were so many ex aequo that we need to showcase 14 and not 10 winning pictures! Oh no... more splendid animals... ;)

We will use them on the website as we add new pages.

Congratulations to all but special mentions go to David Hughes and Basel Zoo (Switzerland) for submitting two winning pictures each, and to the Mangshan pit viper at Tierpark Berlin (Germany) that got photographed by two different people and won both times!

Thanks as well to the colleagues from the Executive Office who got on with this challenging task.

Without further ado, the winners are...
