The mission of modern zoos and aquariums depends on good policy and legislation. EAZA is committed to contributing to it by sharing our expertise and viewpoints with policy makers, conservation and animal welfare organisations and other partners.
Since June 2024, newly elected Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) represent citizens’ interests for the next five years and play a crucial role in decision-making on critical environmental issues.
To support these priorities, EAZA has published its Manifesto.
The Manifesto helps position EAZA as a trusted conservation partner in the policy landscape. It also highlights EAZA’s commitments to enhancing human and animal health and wellbeing, fostering socio-economic growth and promoting collaboration across borders, within and beyond the zoo community.
Download the EAZA Manifesto and share it with your national policymakers and partners! The EAZA EU policy team in Brussels can help you do so.
